If I was in the process of ramping up to spend more than $500 million of money that I stole fair and square to reelect Barack Obama, I suppose I would be rather demanding. In fact, I’d probably feel just like Richard Trumka who, I’m sure, feels he bought this President, along with most of the Democrats in the House and Senate, so they had better by God support the unions who put them in office. The Obama administration is on the offensive again in their zeal to protect labor unions, showering them with corrupt deals and political favoritism. The National Labor Relations Board, an agency of the Obama administration, is expanding its authority well beyond that which is its legal charter by bringing lawsuits seeking to overturn constitutional amendments in at least two states.
The constitutional amendments, which guarantee secret ballots for union elections, were legally approved by voters in Arizona and South Dakota. Read the rest of this entry »

Republican Senator David Vitter of Louisiana is questioning how the United States has benefited from a $2-billion loan the United States made to a Brazilian oil company for its offshore drilling operations.
Senator Vitter is entirely right in questioning a loan which carries with it such utter hypocrisy.
How has that loan helped US companies, the senator asked in a March 17, 2011 letter to Fred Hochberg, president of the Export-Import Bank.
“I am sure you can understand the frustration Louisianans have with a $2 billion loan to produce energy offshore Brazil,” Vitter wrote to Hochberg – especially given the “ongoing de facto moratorium” on deep water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Obama administration has approved only three permits for drilling new deep water wells in the Gulf of Mexico since it lifted its moratorium on issuing permits last October– seven months after the BP rig explosion and oil spill.
“I would appreciate a full accounting for the return on investment the American taxpayer has received, and is anticipated to receive, on the $2 billion loan to this Brazilian petroleum company,” Vitter wrote to Hochberg. “I want to understand why permitting domestically is nearly stalled, and if there is at least a return on this investment over the last year and a half for supporting production offshore Brazil.”
When Vitter first inquired about the loan to Petrobras (the Brazilian national oil company) two years ago, the Export-Import Bank responded to Vitter’s staff by telephone, explaining that the US would benefit from the loan through the increased export of US drilling products and services.
The Export-Import Bank of the United States, the official export credit agency of the United States, helps finance the export of US goods and services to international markets.
Specifically, Vitter now wants to know:
-
The name of all US companies that have increased exports based on this loan.
-
The specific product exports that have increased based on this loan.
-
The return on investment for this loan during the next 5 and 10-year windows.
-
The name of all US and foreign investors, including institutional investors, that increased their share holdings in Petrobras in excess of $50 million within a 6 month period before and after the loan.
“Given that U.S. offshore oil and gas reserves are estimated at nearly triple the 40 billion barrels estimated offshore Brazil, a thorough response from you would be helpful in understanding why permitting domestically is nearly stalled, and if there is at least a return on investment for supporting production offshore Brazil,” Vitter wrote.
Obama was in Brazil last weekend. Monday, he arrived in Chile, From there he’ll stop in El Salvador. The White House says the South American trip is intended to seek out “job creating opportunities.”
Export-Import Bank President Hochberg is among the delegation accompanying Obama on his South American trip.

I have followed the ongoing battle of the labor unions vs. Governor Scott Walker and the people of Wisconsin closely. I have researched it quite thoroughly, even traveling to Madison Wisconsin with my son to observe the street protests, speak with the people and interview protesters. This fight – and the ongoing stories which surround it – aren’t going away anytime soon.
This battle will continue to spread to other states and other unions as courageous Republican governors elected in the most overwhelming mid term election mandate since 1938 Read the rest of this entry »

An NPR executive was caught on camera lambasting the Tea Party as “seriously racist” and claiming that liberals might be, as a whole, more educated than conservatives. The comments from Ron Schiller, a senior executive at NPR and president of the NPR Foundation, were made during a meeting with two people posing as members of a fictitious Muslim organization. The two activists, who recorded the February meeting on hidden camera. Read the rest of this entry »

Wisconsin Republicans have begun increasing the pressure on the Democratic State Senators who fled Wisconsin to prevent legislature from having a quorum, thus forestalling that body’s ability to vote on budget legislation aimed at returning the state to a sustainable course of fiscal sanity.
These Democrats, who fled Wisconsin faster than the French left Paris, are obstructionists who are refusing to work within the law, continue to reject the defeat Democrats suffered at the polls in the November midterm elections. The massacre suffered by the Democrats in November was due to a political tsunami of American voters who turned out by the millions, casting their votes for fiscal responsibility. Although the sea of socialist rhetoric and hypocrisy through which Barack Obama makes us wade is routinely deep, I found a news blurb this morning that I found particularly hypocritical. Barack Obama is meeting with the US Chamber of Commerce to see what he can do to help create jobs. Obama also wants to assure the business community he supports them.
That’s a tall order for the most anti-business President in our history.
Then it dawned on me, this is what Obama meant by transparency when he was running for office, because his effort to appear pro-business by making nice with the Chamber of Commerce is entirely transparent.
Just two months ago Obama was on a nationwide speaking tour attacking and maligning the Chamber of Commerce, claiming they were trying to buy the election, and snatch prosperity from the poor voters who deserved it. But that wasn’t bad enough. Read the rest of this entry »

A great American philosopher once said: It’s Déjà vu all over again. Although it’s a great line, my intent here is not to wax philosophic by quoting Yogi Berra. The malaise in which America now flounders is Déjà vu all over again, as it is eerily reminiscent of the America of 1980 and the malaise in which the country was mired at that time. Because the last thing they want are parallels being drawn between Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter, liberals will disagree, but the similarities are so striking they’ll have to split hairs to do it. Very much the way Jimmy Carter split hairs over the definition of recession while debating Ronald Reagan in 1980.
Though I’m convinced the similarities between America in 1980 and America today are clear, I’ll illustrate them with several irrefutable examples. Mind you, this is by no means a comprehensive list, we don’t have that much ink, so these are just a few examples: Read the rest of this entry »

Some months ago, I wrote an article about Congressman Alan Grayson which wasn’t my finest literary work ever, but it was generally well received and, more importantly, writing it quelled my urge to throw the guy a beating. I’m sure there were thousands of people who wanted to throw him a beating as well, but I realized it just wasn’t a productive idea. In case you don’t recall the circumstances which compelled me to write the article, Grayson, a Democrat from Florida, delivered a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives which purported to describe the Republican plan for health care reform. He explained, that the Republican plan was die quickly.
Knowing, as I do, that Democratic politicians have a propensity for lying, I shouldn’t have been surprised, but I was nonetheless. It saddened me that any American politician would lie so outrageously. Surely the Democratic leadership would denounce Grayson for this outrage. Nope, I was let down again, when Barack Obama called Grayson “an outstanding member of Congress,” rather than condemning this heinous act. Support from the Dear Leader was, at the very least, tacit approval of Grayson’s deplorable behavior. Grayson and Obama it seems, are two peas in a pod.
But, I wrote the article, calmed down and moved on, forgetting Grayson just like everyone else. But this idiot just wouldn’t go away. As we entered the 2010 midterm election season, Grayson crawled out from under his rock again, this time producing a personal attack television commercial condemning his Republican opponent Dan Webster, who Grayson called Taliban Dan. The commercial was a hack job using a 3 second video clip from a speech which Mr. Webster had delivered to his prayer group and reversed the context by 180 degrees. More than one political think tank went on to declare Grayson’s commercial the most dishonest ad to air in more than two decades.
So, it is in this post election wrap-up that I am thrilled to report that the good people of Florida saw through the never ending avalanche of bulls#!t from Grayson, and ousted him from Congress on November 2 in favor of a quiet conservative by the name of Dan Webster. And it wasn’t close. The final tally: Webster 56 percent to Grayson’s 38 percent.
In an interview later in that week on MSNBC, Grayson evaluated his strategy and defeat explaining that he lost because Democrats nationally didn’t get out the vote. “If Democrats don’t vote, Democrats can’t win.” He went on to explain that “Democrats are saddened and demoralized by this policy of appeasement” that he believes always leads to defeat where compromise is not an option. Compromise, he continued, was not possible with Republicans because their entire strategy is “no.”
While every savvy political pundit universally agrees that Democrats took a beating as a repudiation of Obama’s socialist policies, this idiot thinks that the Democrats weren’t liberal enough. I can only pray the Democratic Party keeps fielding candidates just like this one.

Congress has approved another emergency bailout. Another bailout, another $26,100,000,000. Just another in a long line of massive Obama bailouts we’ve been forced to accept as an emergency. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats spent $26,100,000,000 of taxpayer money with such haste this week that they didn’t even have the courtesy to come up with a catchy patriotic name, so it remains untitled.
I feel slighted. If Obama and the Central Committee are going to piss away $26 Billion on another bailout, they should at least have the decency to give it a catchy name. Glenn Beck, a patriotic American always willing to sacrifice for the good of the country, was good enough to suggest that we name this legislative gem The Affordable Jobs Act For American Loving Americans Going Back To Work At Their Job And Sick Kids Too Act. As usual, Glenn Beck was right, it’s catchy.
In typical Obama fashion, sweeping legislation passed with no transparency, this time without even the appearance of any effort to educate the public. But, my God, there’s no time to inform the public, it’s an emergency bailout!
Following the long-term Obama stratagem for transformational change, it’s always an emergency, and you better not disagree. In the case of this massive spending bailout, we couldn’t oppose it, after all, it was to save the kids. Surely you don’t hate kids!
The most magnificently dishonest President in history has utilized this strategy with all legislation for bailouts that spend taxpayer money on a massive scale or that seize power on an unprecedented level. In virtually every instance, it’s been done with blatant disregard for the Constitution, you know, that pesky little document the Progressives are determined to undermine and progress beyond.
Many of you still don’t see the dishonesty, or can’t bring yourselves to believe that Obama is evil, acting against the best interests of the country, so I’ll illustrate how it is occurring, every day, in Washington.
For disingenuous Progressives like Obama to pass sweeping reforms, they developed a foolproof game plan against which no defense existed, because Americans, being uniquely American, would never accept change that transforms America into a second-rate socialist nation. At least under normal circumstances.
Barrack Obama and the gaggle of progressives, liberals and socialists that permeate his administration, devised a plan to pass sweeping changes that fundamentally transform America. With the unwavering assistance of the mainstream media who support Obama much like the Pravda of old supported the Politburo, they’ve executed it with remarkable ease. Brilliant in it’s simplicity, their plan follows this blueprint.
-
Insure Crisis. Transformational initiatives must happen quickly, and must, therefore, always be a crisis, the solution to which must pass immediately, lest the country succumb to the horrific consequences of inaction.
-
Identify the Enemy. The proffered solution to the then immediate crisis targets an evil, horrible enemy, such as health insurance companies when Obama seized control of the health care system or Wall Street Fat Cats when Obama took unprecedented control over the country’s financial institutions.
-
Protect Little Guy. If no clearly identifiable enemy is available as specified in Step Two, then the proposed solution must protect some group of us little people, in a way which appears so altruistic that we dare not disagree. Such as the case this week; you don’t hate the kids, do you?.
-
Political Nuke. If circumstances provide no Enemy or Protection as described above, go nuclear. No matter what the opposition is to and Obama proposal, it is really only because thee who opposes is racist.
Touted with unwavering media cooperation as the first post-racial president, Obama uses Race Baiting as a tactic whenever and wherever convenient. Just as he used the Race Card against Bill Clinton to defeat Hillary in the primaries.
Even those who disagree with Bill Clinton consistently, such as myself, have never accused him of being racist. Bill Clinton accused Obama then of “using the Race Card” and he was right. But, Race Baiting worked. Bill was portrayed as racist and Hillary was defeated. A brilliant tactic, one which is obscenely evil, but effective nonetheless.
This Progressive game plan has worked, thus far, and it worked again this week, as Obama fundamentally transformed Americans out of another $26 Billion. Unsaid by Obama and the Democrats was that the Trillion Dollar emergency stimulus spending eighteen months ago, which became the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was to save the teachers, the kids, the cops, the economy and everything else, and it was an emergency. Ask yourself this:
-
If the Trillion Dollars in emergency bailout eighteen months ago was such an immediate emergency, why is $400 Billion still not spent?
-
If $400 Billion of the emergency bailout from eighteen months ago is still available, why not spend it on the teachers now?
-
What new emergency worthy of another $26 Billion bailout has come up for those very same teachers?
On the other hand, if you’ve had enough of the deceit, race baiting, taxing, spending and Barrack Obama and his Progressive Agenda, Sign Up Now for the truth and Join Me and millions of other good Americans in fighting back against the fundamental transformation of America into a second rate socialist nation. Learn The Truth before it’s too late and Join In The Fight To Save America.
