Democrats in Congress say they have grown frustrated with Obama because of his lack of leadership in their ongoing battle with Republicans over spending cuts, but with nothing in Obama’s career to suggest that he is one for political rough riding, it is odd for Democrats to express dismay that Obama isn’t leading the charge.
During the bloody 14-month fight over ObamaCare, Obama opted not to fully engage until the final three weeks. Since Obama declined to take the lead when it came to a multi-trillion-dollar law that will forever be associated with his name, Democrats should know that he isn’t jumping into the fight over funding the government for six months. The health insurance industry and its supporters have a new criticism of ObamaCare. Information is coming to light which indicates that the AARP is getting preferential treatment under ObamaCare regulations released just before Christmas. This news caused me to really think about those who supported Obama’s hostile takeover of the health care system. So was there anyone who supported ObamaCare whose support wasn’t somehow extorted or paid for?

With severe beatings of democrats in Virginia and New Jersey, and an electoral upset in Massachusetts, the bluest of blue states, voter discontent with Obama and his Progressive Agenda have become evident. Yet, Democratic leaders and the mainstream media continue to attack me: I am a Tea Party Patriot.
Now that voter discontent has become evident, appearing as it has, in the bluest of blue states, and voter outrage is focused on the president’s handling of terror, taxes and
health care, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to marginalize Tea Party folks. Be that as it may, Democratic leaders have called Tea Party activists:
- · Extremist mobs by the Democratic National Committee.
- · Pawns of the insurance industry by Senator Dick Durbin.
- · Un-American by Nancy Pelosi. and Steny Hoyer.
- · Brownshirts by Representative Brian Baird of Washington.
- · Evilmongers by Senator Harry Reid.
- · Un-American by the Honorable Nancy Pelosi.
They have been accused of fear-mongering by the president, called Manufactured and Astroturf by Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, and have been deemed political terrorists by Baron Hill of Indiana. Democrats, one and all.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she sees no need to be worried by Republican victories in two governors races last night, because for her the news was all good. Comrade Pelosi should hereinafter be referred to as Comrade Pinocchio.
“From my perspective, we won last night,” said Pelosi (Socialist-California), referring to the New York special election for the House seat previously held by Republican Rep. John McHugh. “We had one race were engaged in.”
Democrat Bill Owens won the seat in the wake of what some called a “civil war” within the Republican Party. Third-party conservative candidate Doug Hoffman, backed by “Tea Party” conservative activists and national conservatives like former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, forced Republican Dede Scozzafava out of the race.
Pelosi said she saw a win for her health care plan, noting that Owens mentioned the health care legislation in his victory speech. “In his remarks last night he said it was a victory for health care reform and other initiatives,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi sees victory where it doesn’t exist. Even the House race in NY 23, where a Democrat won, was a telling loss for the Dems. An independent candidate, running on the Conservative Party ticket, who no one had ever heard of just 30 days ago, had gained so much momentum by election day that he garnered 45% of the vote and forced the liberal Republican to withdraw from the race.
Make no mistake, this race was a lesson to both the Republican and Democratic Parties. The Democrats should hear footsteps when an unknown independent conservative runs only four points behind a Democrat who was endorsed by the withdrawing Republican and whose only support came from the Tea Party. The Republicans should learn multiple, even bigger lessons from this race, which by any account was a debacle for the Republican Party.
First, we the people will not accept, nor will we vote for any candidate you nominate. When you run a candidate who is so liberal that is a betrayal of the values the Republican Party is supposed to represent, we will not support you. Second, get control of your party; listen to the voters, not a niche group of local party officials. The Republican Party spent $1 million in supporting a liberal candidate who had no business being a Republican in the first place. Dede Scozzafava betrayed the voters and the party when she endorsed a Democrat upon withdrawing from the race.
To Richard Steele: get control of your local party officials. To Newt Gingrich: don’t support liberals because you don’t want to second guess the local party officials. We, the people, insist that you support our conservative values, not party officials. Newt, you’re a Conservative, act like it. To Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party Patriots: keep up the good work, there are millions of us standing with you.

In a move of reminiscent of a Saturday Night Live skit, Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson (Florida) spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives claiming Republicans had devised an alternate plan for overhauling the American healthcare system: Die Quickly. This moron (it’s not my opinion, it’s fact) who always looks as though he hasn’t bathed in weeks and always looks like he slept in his suit, claims that Republicans hope that American citizens will die quickly. Presumably, because it will cost less.
Here’s where it gets good: Congressman Grayson, clearly a man with little class and even less intelligence has the full support of the Obama White House. In a show of support, our Dear Leader referred to Grayson as “an outstanding member of Congress.” Well, that’s certainly comforting. Obama has reassured us.
I’m not certain of it, but I’d wager that Grayson is a member of some whack job group that believes September 11 was an inside job or that we never really flew to the moon. Somebody check this.
While Grayson is drawing criticism from his congressional colleagues, President Obama offered him some warm words at a Miami fundraiser for the Democratic congressional campaign committees last night. Obama, in introducing the members of Congress in attendance, called Grayson – along with Florida Representatives Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Kendrick Meek – an “outstanding members of Congress.”
Obama may regret his praise of Grayson, who is now drawing fire from members in both parties for referring to Linda Robertson, the adviser to Obama’s Fed Chief Ben Bernanke as a “K Street whore” in a radio interview last month. See, I told you three paragraphs back the guy had no class. And he’s received national attention for equating GOP opposition to the Democrats’ health care plan to wanting sick seniors to “die quickly.”
This isn’t the first time the White House political operation has given an assist to Grayson’s re-election prospects. He was the first freshman Democrat in the House to receive political help from Vice President Joe Biden, who came down to Orlando to headline a fundraiser for him in August.
During the event, the vice president told Grayson: “We owe you one buddy…This is a guy who doesn’t back away from a fight, and doesn’t back down from what he believes in."
That much is clear, and even as Grayson continues to draw national controversy for his provocative comments, it doesn’t look like the administration is making any effort to distance themselves from him.
As a personal note from me to the voters in Grayson’s district: You folks really should be ashamed of yourselves. Face it, when you voted for Obama, he was actually a good liar, while Grayson is a bumbling fool.
